Tokelau Language Week

Thanks Roni for all your hard work for Tokelauan Language Week.

Maryanne's brother Cornell and Malaga spoke

 Malo Ni!
We had a fantastic time in Tokelauan week.

Look at the beautiful headgear that Maryanne is wearing.

We got to make some out of paper

Some amazing mums helped us.
They had cut out all the flowers.

We choose the ones we liked and threaded them.

We could wear them on our heads or around our necks.

Don't they look great!

Thank you for all those who helped us.

Bye Bye Jasmyn

Sadly on Friday we said goodbye to Jasmyn.
She and her family moved South.
We will miss her and think her new school is really lucky to have her join them.

Mighty measuring

In maths we have done lots of great measuring.
Look at the things we measured with Mrs Walker.
We found which was the longest.

Look at Nabeel - he is seeing if he is as long as the train track he made - but it is MUCH longer.

Play Dough

We are really lucky because Whaea Bev makes us the best play dough!
This term we have blue dough.
Look at the great things we have made.
Harmony made her name and a beautiful butterfly.

Jan Aye Lia made a cake with lots of candles.
Look at all the balls Rangihana and Maryanne have made.

Maori Language Week

Maori Language Week

We had a special assembly as part of Maori Language Week.

We sang the song "E tu stand up".

Can you see what action we are doing in this picture?
We are going to sleep.
Can you say it in Maori?

Can you see us giving the thumbs up sign for Ka Pai choice?

Then we got everyone to join in and sing it with us and do the actions.
